Porto Seguro - BA

Porto Seguro is where the first Portuguese discoverers arrived almost 500 years ago. It´s name, Porto Seguro, means safe port. The city is an important tourist point in Brazil, which had, besides history and old churches from the colonization times, beautiful beaches and a really friendly population. People seem to be always celebrating something. There is fun in every corner. There are bars, restaurants, stores with typical products and souvenirs, all with the special look that only Bahia can have! The nature is amazing. Some beaches are full of bars and people, but some others, which are barely touched by civilization, are almost deserts and really difficult to reach by car; but if you don’t mind walking, you can get to know them, and they are sure worth it.
