COSTA DO SAUÍPE: FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILYLocated at the city of Mata de São João, north coast of Bahia, Costa do Sauípe is one of the main tourist destinations in Brazil. The resort - with 100% Brazilian operation - offers many options for leisure, entertainment, culture, sports and events for all ages. To host with all the convenience their national and international visitors, the complex has five hotels and five inns of high standard: Sauípe Premium, Sauípe Club, Sauípe Class, Sauípe Park, Sauípe Fun e Sauípe Inns (Sauípe Pousadas).

Altogether, there are 1,564 rooms directed to the leisure public and corporate groups, which have special interests in the promotional calendar. In addition to offering accommodation, leisure and nature, Costa do Sauípe is the only resort of the country which has extensive infrastructure for conventions, with total capacity for more than 3 thousand people and is able to accommodate various types of events from meetings and large conferences, to festivals and sports tournaments.

For children, there is the Sauípe Kids - an area of 4,000 m² and capacity for up to 800 children aged 4 to 12 years old simultaneously, the largest space of a resort dedicated to children in the Country. Rounding out the venture’s fun there are 20 pools, 24 bars and a large sports center, a golf course with 18 holes, 15 tennis courts, SPA, multisport courts, Sauípe Nautica and Sauípe Country.

All Sauípe Complex is located in an area of ​​environmental protection that preserves miles of mangroves, salt marshes, dunes, rivers, freshwater lagoons, coconut groves and passages of the Atlantic Rainforest. The Sauípe partnership with Tamar/IBAMA to ensure the reproduction of sea turtles, and the project Berimbau, sustainable development program of the complex that supports the local community, also illustrate the concern of the resort in growing respecting nature and investing in economic and cultural potential of the region.

Also known as the submarine flight, this trip is pure fun! This is a new way of diving by holding onto a board towed by a boat on a 5-metre cable. By using the diving equipment (included in the price) the rider can relax and look at the marine life. Read more
This walk begins on Caieira beach and we shall be walking on a footpath of loose stones which have been smoothed by the force of the sea and wind. Great care must be taken when walking on these stones. We shall stop to bathe in the tide pools before reaching the foot of the cliff which provides access to the Pontinha and Pedra Alta viewpoints. From Porto de Santo Antônio, the boat passes the secondary islands where we can see rock formations and seabirds’ nests. We then sail to the far end of the archipelago, affording some beautiful views of beaches and bays. There will be a stop for bathing. Read more
We begin by walking to Mirante da Baía dos Golfinhos (Dolphin Bay Viewpoint), which is about 60 meters above sea level, from where we can watch the antics of the Spinner Dolphins. This bay is where these mammals rest and mate after spending the night feeding at sea. The trail then follows a footpath along the clifftops around Baía dos Golfinhos until we reach Baía dos Porcos (Bay of Pigs), stopping to enjoy the scenery from the Sancho Beach viewpoints. This trek starts before daybreak and passes through approximately one kilometre of native bush. On arrival at the 60-metre cliff top, we can watch dolphins returning from a night’s feeding in the high seas. This place is known as “Baía dos Golfinhos” or “Dolphin Bay” and is used by these mammals as a place to rest and mate. Besides seeing the dolphins, the scenery and seabirds are spectacular. The begins passes through Vila dos Remédios, the site of most of the island’s historical buildings: São Miguel Palace, the church of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios and the fort of the same name. We will see old mansions and barracks as well as the museum, as we learn about the history of Noronha, closely linked to that of Brazil. On this trip you will see the main beaches, natural pools and viewing points of the archipelago. You will be able to see some of the local flora and fauna, and there will be a stop for swimming and diving. We use four-wheel-drive vehicles but much of the trip is on foot along trails and beaches. This trip provides the opportunity to look at the wealth of marine life whilst snorkelling with a guide. The place chosen for this activity will be decided on the day according to tides and environmental authorization.
